What you need to make scrambled eggs

  1. Eggs
  2. Water– this is the secret to fluffy eggs. A little bit of cold water mixed in with the eggs makes them soft and not dried out.
  3. Butter– adds so much flavour and helps the eggs not stick to the pan when cooking.
  4. Salt and Pepper– season to your liking

Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 1 tsp salt, or to taste
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tbsp butter

Steps to make good scrambled eggs

Here's a step-by-step guide to making fluffy scrambled eggs:

1. Crack the desired number of eggs into a mixing bowl, typically 1 1/2 to 2 eggs per person.

2. Add cold water, salt, and pepper to the bowl.

3. Use a fork or whisk to break the yolks and thoroughly mix the eggs until they turn yellow and bubbly.

4. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat, ensuring not to use too high of heat to maintain soft and fluffy eggs.

5. Once the pan is hot and butter is melted, pour the whisked eggs into the pan.

6. Allow the eggs to heat up for a minute or two. When you notice the edges of the eggs starting to bubble and cook, begin scraping the cooked eggs from the bottom of the pan using a spatula or wooden spoon.

7. Continue scraping the spatula across the bottom and edges of the pan as the eggs continue to cook, breaking them up to achieve that classic 'scrambled look.'

8. As soon as all the eggs are cooked and there are no more runny parts, remove the pan from the heat and serve the scrambled eggs warm.

9. Avoid overcooking the eggs to prevent them from becoming rubbery.

Instructions

Start by cracking the eggs into a mixing bowl. Add water, salt, and pepper. Then, using a fork or whisk, break the yolks and whisk until the eggs turn yellow and bubbly.

Next, melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Once melted, pour the whisked eggs into the skillet and allow them to cook for about a minute until they start to set around the edges.

Using a spatula or wooden spoon, gently scrape the edges and bottom of the pan to pull up the cooked eggs. Continue scraping until all the eggs are cooked to your desired consistency.

Finally, remove the skillet from the heat and serve the scrambled eggs immediately.
